    Had an interesting lunch meeting yesterday as part of the Insurance Advisory Board at Madison College (MATC). We learned that Wisconsin has the 6th largest concentration of insurers in the nation and has 65,000 jobs in the industry (not counting agents)with an average salary of $56,218. Compare that to the average salary of all workers in Wisconsin of $38,070. We are working to build up the insurance program at the college offering classes to returning workers as well as recent high school grads. This a great industry with consistent stable growth and I found a variety of positions and opportunities throughout my career. Recommend the classes and the industry to your friends and family looking for opportunities!
