summer sun

Yes, the rains will end and the first day of summer is only a few days away. I am concerned about sun damage and the seriousness of increasing numbers of skin cancers. Protect yourself everyday with sunscreen and check out www.ewg.com for a free sunscreen guide. You will also learn to look for sunscreens without Oxybenzone, Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) and added insect repellent. Look for those which contain zinc, Titanium dioxide and Avobenzone or Mexoryl SX. Don't buy products that say they have 50 spf and higher--some of these are even more dangerous. There are no regulations on contents of sunscreens. Call or email me for help in ordering safe sunscreens from Melaleuca. Diane Dillett, happyskin@dillettcompany.com
